Kazakhstan and Iran have signed a number of documents in the framework of the economic partnership
Almaty. 11 April. Silkroadnews - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev held the expanded format negotiations within the framework of his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the press service of the head of state informs.
According to the report, published on the website of Akorda, the issues of implementation of a number of projects in several areas of common interest have been discussed in detail during the negotiations. The parties emphasized the progressive development of bilateral relations and great potential for their further expansion.
The parties have also marked the necessity to deepen the two countries cooperation in trade and economic sector as a key component of the Kazakhstani-Iranian partnership.
The following documents have been signed during the visit: treaty on prisoner extradition, the cooperation agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Iran in the field of plant protection and quarantine; memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the ministry of investment and development of Kazakhstan and the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology in the field of new technologies; cooperation program between the ministry of investment and development of Kazakhstan and the Iranian ministry of industry, mine and trade in industrialization sector.
In addition, the parties have signed an extended long-term program for cooperation on “Silk Road” route; memorandum of understanding between the National Bank of Kazakhstan and the Central Bank of Iran; memorandum of cooperation between JSC “NC” Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” and the Iranian railway company; agreement and the road map between JSC “KTZ Express” and the Iranian shipping company “IRISL”, memorandum of understanding between “Baiterek” National Holding and the National Development Fund of Iran.
