Kazakhstan and Iran signed an agreement in the field of mutual investment

Almaty. September 2. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of mutual investment, transmits Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Tuesday.
The agreement was signed following the meeting of the Minister of roads and the regional development of Iran Abbas Akhundzade with the Minister for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Aset Isekeshev, which was held in Tehran on Sunday as part of the 13th meeting of the joint Kazakh-Iranian commission on economic cooperation.
According to the document, the Organization for Social Security and Investment of Iran (Social Security Investment Company) and Kazakhstan JSC «Kaznex Invest» will conduct joint activities with the creation of a feasibility study of investment projects related to the construction of a cement and pharmaceutical companies on the territory of Kazakhstan, plants for the production of urea and ammonia in Iran and Kazakhstan, as well as for investments in the production of ceramic products, modernization of seaport Aktau.
The parties also agreed to contribute to the development of medical tourism industry in the two countries.
It is reported that the Kazakh side expressed readiness to invest funds in the oil and gas industry of the Islamic Republic.
