Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have signed an agreement on readmission of persons

Almaty. October 24. Silkroadnews – Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Kalmukhanbet Kasymov and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Kursan Asanov signed an agreement between the governments on the readmission of persons, press-service of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan reported.

“The agreement provides for the definition of procedures for identification and safe and orderly return of the persons who do not fulfill the conditions for entry, stay or residence on the territory of the contracting parties, and assistance in the transit of such persons”, press-release says.

Agreement allows building a legal framework for the contracting parties’ cooperation. Among the other issues it is developed to counteract illegal migration, facilitate the admission of persons illegally staying in the territory of the states and their transit in accordance with the generally accepted norms of international law and the spirit of trustful cooperation.
