Almaty. January 23. SIlkroadnews - According to the Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Valery Dil, construction of an oil refinery "Jund" in Kara-Balta, without identifying the sources of raw materials was improvident step, reports KyrTAG.
"According to the official, Kara-Balta plant "Jund " only works on 10% of capacity, while state factory in Jalal-Abad - 20%. The main problem - the lack of raw materials for processing, as the only possible suppliers - Russia and Kazakhstan - refuse to supply oil free of duty",- said in a statement on Friday.
"To build a huge refinery and do not know where to get the oil from looks ridiculous. The only way out of the situation may be the conclusion of contracts with companies in Russia and Kazakhstan, which would bring oil, refine it here and sell in the local market",- said V. Dil at a press conference on Friday.
Refinery "Jund" in Kara-Balta can process up to 800 thousand tons of oil per year, while China planned to increase the capacity of the object to 1.2 million tons per year. Parallel in Tokmok Chinese investors are building a second refinery.
