Almaty. May 18. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan and Turkey consider the possibility of extending the route of container train from Istanbul via Almaty to China, informs KazTAG citing the press service of JSC "NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy".
"At the meeting of the heads of the railway departments of the Organization for Economic Cooperation were discussed issues of implementation of railway projects. In particular, they discussed the possibility of extending the container train route Istanbul - Almaty, ensuring its smooth movement to China",- said in a statement on Monday.
The sides also talked about the creation of the necessary conditions for the growth of the volume of cargo transporting by container train in the route Bandar Abbas (Iran) - Kazakhstan - China.
During the discussion was stressed the importance of effective use of the new railway line Uzen - Bereket - Gorgan.
The meeting agreed on the map of the rail transit and took the appropriate report.
