Astana. April 7 . Silkroad News - Kazakhstan legislation does not provide the verification of Russian and Belarusian businessmen in public procurement. This was stated by Minister for Competition and Antitrust regulation of Eurasian Economic Commission Nurlan Aldabergenov, transmits KazTAG.
"Last year, during the bidding, our manufacturers have signed 166 contracts worth 265 million tenge. Next year we plan to move to electronic trading on public procurement in the territory of the EAEC. In the meantime, it is necessary to modify the legal framework at the national level.
"Let us imagine that our businessmen are involved in Russian trade, where antitrust authority is entitled to carry out procedures to identify anti-competitive behavior. By opening borders for Russian and Belarusian bidders, we must understand that we are working, though in a friendly atmosphere, but still in a competitive environment. Consequently, national authorities should be equal in their powers", - concluded N.Aldabergenov.
