Kazakhstan drops down significantly in Corruption Perception Index

Astama. May 13. Silkroadnews – Kazakhstan drops down to 140th spot out of 177 possible in Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index. It has moved 7 positions down this year, as Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning informs.
“This downward movement in the index is associated with the loss of 2 points compared to the last year. It can also be attributed to the change in methodology of the Index, which was changed to reflect changes in the studied countries more fully”, Minister Dosayev explained at the briefing for journalists.
