Kazakhstan has extended “yellow” level of terrorist threat

Almaty. July 15. Silkroadnews – “Yellow” level of terrorist threat has been extended in Kazakhstan for another 30 days, KazTAG reports with reference to the Republic’s National Security Committee.

“Anti-Terrorist Centre of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall notify the extension of the moderate (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat throughout the country for 30 days starting from July 16, 2016,” statement said.

To remind, the robbery attack on the weapon stores “Pallas” and “Panther” and military unit № 6655 took place in Aktobe, western Kazakhstan, on June 5. During the attack the seller, security guard and two visitors of the stores got killed. Among the victims there are also three soldiers: officer, contractor and draftee.

In the course of special operations 9 offenders were arrested, 18 – eliminated. 25 criminal cases on these events have been combined into one judicial proceeding.

“Red” level of terrorist threat has been announced in Aktobe. “Yellow” level of terrorist threat has been announced across the country for 40 days.
