Kazakhstan has not updated data on eco-products companies since 2011

Almaty. August 15. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan has no official statistics on the number of companies producing agricultural products to international environmental standards, said KazTAG citing Kazakh Academy of Nutrition (KAN).
"In a small minority of farms engaged in the production to international environmental standards, there is no official statistics. Only within the framework of the project implemented with the support of the EU from 2009 to 2011, it was possible to obtain some information on organic farming in Kazakhstan",- said in a written reply to the head of the academy Toregeldy Sharmanov to KazTag on Friday.
"According to these reports, in 2011, Kazakhstan has 8 farms that have been certified by the supervisory bodies and who currently selling products primarily in Europe and the United States" - said in a statement.
It is noted that these companies are specialize in durum wheat, canola and soybeans.
