Astana. July 4. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan has overtaken Iraq and Portugal in terms of GDP, ranking 45th in the world, reports KazTAG.
According to published data from the World Bank (WB), Kazakhstan in 2013 with GDP of $224.4 billion (WB took Kazakhstan to countries with above-average incomes per capita) occupies 45th place in the world (in 2012 GDP of RK was $203.5 billion).
Kazakhstan surpassed all the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus together (Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia, whose combined GDP in 2013 amounted to $214.5 billion).
Countries of the former USSR with the biggest economy located in the following order: Ukraine (56th) - $177.4 billion, Azerbaijan (67th) - $73.6 billion, Belarus (68th) - $71.7 billion, Uzbekistan (75th place) - $56.8 billion, Lithuania (89th) - $42.3 billion, Turkmenistan (90th place) - $41.9 billion, Latvia (100 th) - $28.4 billion, Estonia (102 th) - $24.5 billion, Georgia (112th) - $16.1 billion, Armenia (135 th) - $10.4 billion, Tajikistan (138 th) - $8.5 billion, Kyrgyzstan (145 th) - $7.2 billion, and Moldova (142 th) - $7.9 billion
