Kazakhstan hopes to align the statistics on bilateral trade with China by the end of the year

Astana. April 7. Silkroadnews - Chairman of the Committee of the State Revenue Ministry of Finance Daulet Ergozhin hopes that the Kazakh and Chinese statistics on the volume of mutual trade level by the end of 2015 will align, reported KazTAG.
As reported earlier, his Deputy Gosman Amrin noted that the annual volume of smuggling in the Kazakh-Chinese trade turnover is about $400 million.
"The difference between Kazakhstan and China, as well as other countries in the year of the order is just over $4 billion", - said Amrin.
According to him, the difference between the volumes of the Kazakh-Chinese trade is part of the "shadow economy".
At the same time, he said, the difference in the statistics of mutual trade turnover between Russia and China is $72 billion.
G. Amrin said that China, despite the fact of being a WTO member, has its principles and its trading account. In particular, China continues to take into account all transit traffic through Kazakhstan to Russia and other countries as exports to Kazakhstan, while the Kazakh side does not consider the datas in the figures for imports from China.
According to the Ministry of Commerce of China, the Kazakh-Chinese trade turnover in 2013 amounted to $28.6 billion. At the same time, according to the State Revenue Committee of the RK Ministry of Finance, the mutual trade turnover in 2013 amounted to $22.7 billion.
Earlier, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerlan Idrisov reported that the Kazakh-Chinese trade turnover will increase to $40 billion by 2015.
