Almaty. September 28. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan in the autumn of 2015 plans to allocate additional assistance to the countries of the African continent, indicates the report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As noted, the Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrisov arrived in New York, where on Friday started the 70th anniversary session of the UN General Assembly.
On the first day in New York on the sidelines of the UN Ye.Idrisov held a series of bilateral meetings with foreign ministers.
Ye. Idrisov noted that Kazakhstan is interested in expanding its diplomatic presence in Latin America and the Caribbean region, and stressed the similarity of positions of Kazakhstan and CARICOM countries on many issues, in particular, in an effort of transition to a "green" economy.
He also noted that Kazakhstan actively promote the objectives of sustainable development and global promotion of South-South initiatives.
"In autumn 2015 Astana plans to provide additional assistance to the countries of the African continent together with the UNDP as a means of institutional development in the framework of the project "Capacity Building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the countries of Africa" " - the report says.
