Almaty. November 24. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan with the volume of gold reserves of 218 tons is on the 23rd place in the world on this indicator, reported KazTAG citing the National Bank of the Republic.
"By creating a system of control on the one hand, the state on the other hand provides a guarantee of sales. All the actors who play by the rules, have a guaranteed market to the National Bank, which continues to buy all the gold produced in the country to replenish foreign exchange reserves", - the press service quoted the deputy director of the Department of monetary operations and asset management of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Akylzhan Baimagambetov.
According to him, Kazakhstan with the amount of gold reserves of 218 tons, of which 117 tonnes stored in Kazakhstan is on the 23rd place in the world on this indicator.
According to the press service of the National Bank of Kazakhstan on November 24, Majilis approved the second reading of the law "On Precious Metals and Precious Stones" and the accompanying law, amending the 4 law. With the adoption of this law creates a regulatory legal environment, it does not view gold as a commodity, but as a strategic product with the properties of a financial asset.
However, the law provides for tightening control over the export of raw materials containing gold and other precious metals, with a view to maximize processing in Kazakhstan.
