Kazakhstan is planning by 2017 to double the capacity of the pipeline in China

Almaty. December 8. Silkroadnews - The total capacity of the main gas pipeline "Kazakhstan-China" (Kazakh section of cross-border gas pipeline "Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China") would be increased to 55 billion cubic meters in 2017, media reported referring to the vice-minister of oil and gas of RK Magzum Mirzagalieva.
He said that at commissioned string "C" pipeline currently operates two compressor stations, but their number will be increased to eight.
"The construction of another six compressor stations continue, completion of which is expected in 2017. After the completion, the performance of the string "C" will reach 25 billion cubic meters of gas per year, and the total capacity of the gas pipeline "Kazakhstan - China" will increase from the current 30 to 55 billion cubic meters of gas a year", - said M.Mirzagaliev.
