Kazakhstan is working over to remove restrictions on the export of meat to China
Astana. January 19. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan is working to lift restrictions on exports of meat to China. This was announced by Director of the Department of Livestock under the Ministry of Agriculture Yerkebulan Akhmetov, KazTAG reports.
“Ministry is working to lift restrictions by China to export meat and meat products by the Kazakhstani producers”, Y.Akhmetov stated at the press conference in Astana on Tuesday.
He reminded that in November 2015 within the framework of the official visit to China there was a memorandum signed on the joint implementation of the meat cluster in the East Kazakhstan region. The total investment from the Chinese side shall amount to more than $11 million. As part of the cluster the plans are to build a meat-processing complex for the production of lamb and mutton with a total annual capacity of 17 thousand tons.
It is also planned to build a feeding platform and a net of the farms for the distant-pasture cattle tending.
