Kazakhstan more dependent on oil exports than Russia – Fitch Ratings
Almaty. April 1. Silkroadnews – Kazakhstan is more dependent on oil exports than Russia, as the MD of natural resources and commodities analyst group of Fitch Ratings, Maxim Edelson, informs.
“Kazakhstan consumes 12% of produced oils and exports 88% of it. This means that Kazakhstan is significantly more dependent on oil exports”, he said at the VIII Annual Fitch Ratings Conference on Kazakhstan.
He also highlighted small size of stakes that national oil companies have in oil fields development. For instance, National oil company “KazMunayGas” controls just 15% of all produced oil in the country.
