Kazakhstan plans to increase coal production by 1% in 2015
Astana. June 18. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan plans to increase coal production from 107.6 million tonnes in 2014 to 108.6 million tons in 2015. Preservation of volumes of export of coal is the overarching challenge for the industry. This was announced by Deputy Director of the Department of Coal Industry Development Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the Ministry of Energy Sovet Dambarbaev, KazTAG reports.
He said that coal mining will be increased on several sections.
In particular, due to the reconstruction the cut "Bogatyr" will be able to produce up to 48 million tons of coal. In the section "Severniy" will be increase production from 10 to 18 million tonnes, on a cut "Vostochniy" from 20 to 22 million tons per year, Ekibastuz from 4 to 8 million tons per year, on Shubarkol from 9 to 16 million tons per year, on the cut "Karazhyra" from 5 to 7 million tons a year, in the mines of the Karaganda coal basin from 3 to 5 thousand tonnes per day.
"In 2020 it is planned to involve Turgai coal basin. Envisaged the construction of coal mine based on the deposit Kushmurun", - summed up the deputy chairman of the committee.
