Kazakhstan plans to start the production of unmanned aerial vehicles

Almaty. February 9. Silkroadnews - West Kazakhstan region plans to begin production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In this case Kazakhstan will become the fourth country to establish commercial production of drones, reports KazTAG.
"Kazakhstan since 2006 announced its intention to develop unmanned aircraft", - said the director of "World of fuel" LLP, Abai Ryskaliyev.
"In December last year, our company signed a memorandum of cooperation with the instrument making plant "Omega". We agreed that, on the basis of this enterprise, will be launched production of drones and organized service center. Accessories (composite materials and electronics) will be supplied from Russia. The Kazakh side will provide the assembly. That is the first project to be 20-30% of local content, over time, this figure will increase",- he explained.
According to A. Ryskaliev production of drones will be launched later this year. Also signed an agreement with the Russian College of civil aviation training.
According to the chief designer Artem Silkin, in addition to military use, the complex can be used for various civilian purposes: environmental monitoring, aerial surveys of pipelines, crops, state forests, for the needs of Interior Ministry, Ministry of Emergency Situations. It has already been several time applied in Kazakhstan, in particular, in the area of "Proton-M" fall.
