Kazakhstan proposed to China to eliminate trade barriers
Almaty. July 12. Silkroadnews – In Beijing First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with Zhang Gaoli, a member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China, vice premier of the State Council of China, KazTAG reports.
“To accomplish the task set by two countries’ leaders on $40 billion bilateral trade volume to be achieved by 2020 the first deputy prime minister of Kazakhstan proposed to develop a joint action program for diversification of trade and economic cooperation providing for trade barriers elimination,” press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reported on Tuesday.
It is noted that the meeting took place on the eve of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev’s visit to China and participation in the G20 Summit in Hangzhou in early September.
“Bakytzhan Sagintayev and Zhang Gaoli discussed the implementation of projects within the framework of new economic policy “Nurly Zhol” announced by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and “One Belt, One Road” initiative by President Xi Jinping that will open up new prospects for the countries’ mutually beneficial partnership,” the press-service informed.
During the talks the parties have also discussed issues of innovative cooperation, cooperation within the framework of large-scale transport projects, energy sector and agriculture.
Also during the visit to China B. Sagintayev plans to visit Xi'an, where he will hold talks with the secretary of the Shaanxi Province Party Committee Lowe Tsintszyan, meetings with representatives of Chinese business community, get acquainted with the work of technology centers in high technology, aerospace development, biopharmaceuticals, agriculture.
