Kazakhstan proposed to create a single database of drugs
Almaty. February 3. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan should create a single database of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues and precursors, said deputy director of the Centre of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Umbetaliev.
He noted that data bank will include the information about the appearance of the properties of drugs. This information will help to organize, analyze data and better solve crimes related to the drug trafficking.
"The whole issue is limited only to the funding", - he said.
A. Umbetaliev informed that was made a proposal of gradual increase in staff numbers o Forensic Center of the Ministry of Justice to 303 units, including 15 units - for the creation of a data bank. The budget request for 2014-2016 years is 665 million tenge.
The press service of the center of Forensic Ministry of Justice recalled that in the Criminal Code entered into force on 1 January 2015, except for liability for trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, provided also responsible for the turnover of their analogues (synthetic drugs). However, to date the legislation of Kazakhstan did not regulate the procedure for inclusion of any substance in the category of analogues.
