Kazakhstan ratified agreement on strategic partnership with Tajikistan

Almaty. October 31. Silkroadnews – Kazakhstan has ratified agreement on strategic partnership with Tajikistan, the press service of the head of the state informs.

“The head of the state signed the Law of Kazakhstan “On ratification of the agreement on strategic partnership between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Tajikistan”, the press service of Akorda reported.

“According to the agreement terms the parties will build their relations on the basis of equality, mutual trust, strategic partnership”, the summary by the senate’s profile committee says. In case of a situation that could have a negative impact on mutual security interests of the parties or the security interests of one of them, the parties, by mutual agreement, will activate the due consultations mechanism for coordination of positions and practical measures to resolve this situation.

It is also noted, the parties shall take the necessary measures to expand and deepen mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, including the diversification of the commodity nomenclature and create the necessary supportive environment. According to the agreement, the parties will cooperate in military and military-technical sectors, civil defense, and support cooperation in science and technology, health, education, culture, tourism and sport.
