Kazakhstan ratifies agreement on a loan of $103 million from the World Bank for irrigation
Astana. December 26. Silkroadnews - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed a law on ratification of the agreement for a loan of $103 million from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) for irrigation, KazTAG.
"President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Ratification of the Loan Agreement (the second phase of the project to improve irrigation and drainage systems) between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development ", - says the publication with reference to the press service of the President of Kazakhstan on Friday.
The main purpose of this agreement is to improve irrigation and drainage systems.
Service repayment of the loan will be attracted by the Ministry of Finance of the funds provided in the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On republican budget" in accordance with the financial conditions, laden with the loan agreement.
The project consists of the following components - a rehabilitation and modernization of the infrastructure of irrigation and drainage systems in the area of about 113 ha. sustainable management, operation and maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems; agricultural development; project management, technical support and training.
