Almaty. November 27. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan retains plans for production of 2 million barrels daily after 2020, reports KazTAG citing Energy Minister Vladimir Shkolnik.
He recalled that during the years of independence, Kazakhstan has entered the 15 countries, the largest holders of proven oil reserves, and the top twenty largest gas reserves.
Previously, on January 16, 2014 the former Minister of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan Uzakbai Karabalin said that Kazakhstan's oil production after 2020 will increase to 2 million barrels per day.
According to him, oil production in Kazakhstan increased to 1.6 million barrels per day, and gas - up to 40 billion cubic meters per year.
As recalled by the minister, Kazakhstan by 2017 will be upgraded refineries.
"Until 2017 will be upgraded three major Kazakh refinery projects, will be implemented a world-class petrochemical plants", - he said.
