Kazakhstan’s Criminal Code to stipulate punishment for market manipulation with securities
Astana. June 3. Silkroadnews – Kazakhstan’s Criminal Code is to stipulate punishment for market manipulation with securities and insider trading. This was reported by the Kazakh Deputy Prosecutor General, Iogan Merkel.
“Two main amendments are two new articles. On market manipulation with securities and on insider trading”, Mister Merkel said at the working session of the committee on constitutional legislation of the Senate.
Market manipulation with securities is to be punishable by up to 5 years in prison with confiscation of property or fined by up to KZT 1 mln. Insider trading and unlawful activities are to be punishable in similar fashion.
