Kazakhstan to host the first OIC summit on Science and Technology in September 2017

Almaty. September 26. Silkroadnews – Kazakhstan plans to host the first Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit on Science and Technology in September 2017, KazTAG reports.

«At the recent Istanbul summit of the OIC, President of Kazakhstan suggested an initiative to hold the first summit of the OIC on Science and Technology in 2017. The meeting will be held for the first time in the history of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The summit is supposed to be held on September 10-11, 2017», Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerlan Idrissov said at the Asian Inter-Parliamentary Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation on Monday.

He also paid attention the summit's dates are not occasional, as these days the international exhibition EXPO-2017 will be completed in the capital of Kazakhstan.
