Kazakhstan to introduce standards for electric vehicles in 2017

Almaty. January 26. Silkroadnews – The national standards will be developed for new industries in Kazakhstan, First Vice Minister for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Albert Rau stated, KazTAG writes.

“There is a trend saying we will switch to the electric vehicles. In fact, we do not have any standards in this regard starting from connectors and ending with the technical requirements to electric vehicles. Thus, this year out of thousands of standards 13 standards have been provided for electric vehicles”, A. Rau said on Thursday.

He also added, the standards to be developed for all other new industries.

“This is true for all the new industries, which 5-6 years ago we had not standards for. Therefore, our today’s agenda includes the standards development for new industries. The point in case is, first of all, about engineering, new chemical products, etc.”, minister has noted.

According to him, the national standards will be compared to the international ones.
