Kazakhstan will cooperate with Afghanistan in emergencies liquidation

Almaty. September 29. Silkroadnews –  President Nursultan Nazarbayev has signed the Law of Kazakhstan «On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on cooperation in the field of civil defense, prevention and liquidation of emergency situations», Akorda press-service reported.

The purpose of the agreement is to create the legal framework for the countries' cooperation in the field of civil defense, prevention of natural and technological hazards, emergency response, civil defense specialists training and voluntary mutual aid in case of accidents, disasters and catastrophes.

The document also provides for mutual assistance by the parties in case of emergencies liquidation, taking into account the nature and magnitude of emergencies, and required assistance types and volumes.

The agreement provides for the form of cooperation between the parties, as well as the procedure for mutual assistance during emergency situations.

According to the agreement the requesting party is to bear all expenses for the groups accommodation and meal, as well as to provide medical care during the groups' stay.

The agreement also includes provisions regulating the work completion order.

The agreement between the governments was made in Astana on November 20, 2015.
