Almaty. January 28. Silkroadnews - «Contract with Kazakhstan was signed for supply of 1.4 billion kWh. Earlier Kyrgyzstan asked for the supply of 400 million kWh in the winter, but the Kazakh side, reported the possibility to deliver only 200 million kWh per month. In this regard, the Kazakh side moved the delivery of 400 million kWh to the spring",- said the Minister of Energy and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubanichbek Turdubaev at a meeting of the parliamentary Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex and Subsurface.
According to him, depending on the flow of water in the Toktogul reservoir Kyrgyzstan will return 400 million kWh in the summer.
According to the director of the State Agency for Regulation of Energy Nurbek Elebaev, the need for imported electricity is reduced from 1 billion kWh to 760 million.
"Instead of 400 million kWh Kyrgyzstan imported 118 million, as imports of electricity depended on the volume of gas supplies", - said the Minister of Energy.
