Kazakhstani and Chinese entrepreneurs are checked by the road patrol service of Kyrgyzstan without a reasonable basis, the Kyrgyz market participants say
Almaty. February 4. Silkroadnews – The Kazakhstani and Chinese businessmen complain on harassment by the road patrol police in Kyrgyzstan, the chairman of the Union for the Detective enterprises security of Kyrgyzstan Akzhol Isayev.
“Recently I have been to “Khorgos”. It turns out the businessmen of Kazakhstan and China have heard a lot about the “heroic” deeds by our road patrols that used to stay along the road and stick drivers. We shall administer order among the road police patrols. It shall be done very quickly and on a system basis,” KyrTAG quotes A. Isayev at the meeting between entrepreneurs and the heads of departments.
“I am far from the idea that everything is perfect on our roads, but I would like to share this information. The union started to contact us somewhere in the second half of 2015, informing us on such harassment cases. We have responded to some signals which resulted in detention of some careless employees. Criminal cases have been opened in relation to some of them, some other are under investigation now waiting for the court’s decision. Moreover, we started to work with the bus drivers. In case of harassment they may approach our security service,” - Almazbek Orozaliyev, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, said in his turn.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Joint Trade Union TEC “Dordoi” Damir Dolotaliyeva got exasperated by the response of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
“We raised the issue of unjustified inspections of the road patrol service. We do have such situations. We are contacted by the ordinary people who are tired of your unjustified inspections, and the words by the deputy minister that someone is supposedly fired and under investigation is a lie. The road patrol officer Jyrgalbek Sultanov stopped the bus going from Astana and hold for 2.5 hours, took away the passports of our entrepreneurs and then disappeared. He was not fired, he continues to work,” - said D. Dolotaliyeva.
She also complained of the fact that the traffic police officers require an international license for the carriage of goods and invoices on checks.
“Since when have the traffic road patrols started to check this all? Because of these things, we lose our partners from Kazakhstan,” – the union chairman said.
A. Isayev also added both the Kazakhstani and Chinese entrepreneurs have also heard about the Kyrgyz “exchange offices” that are known for their “cheating, and so on”. “Half of them are bandits. Help to bring order to the exchange offices, too. The Organized Crime Unit shall start its work with “Dordoi””, - he added.
