Kazakhstani car sale market fell to record minimum for the last 4.5 years

Almaty. February 18. Silkroadnews – Having summarized the results of the first month of 2016 the Kazakhstani car sale market fell to the record minimum for the last 4.5 years, the report of the Kazakhstani auto business association informs, according to KazTAG.
“On results of the first month of 2016 the official sales market reached a new minimum mark for the past 4.5 years since May 2011,” - says the publication.     
It is explained, the new car sales in Kazakhstan slipped by 45.68% in January 2016 compared with the previous month and reached the level of 3492 units.
As for year-on-year comparison a 55.25% sales skid is observed compared to January 2015, when the car market also showed a significant decline. Thus, the January result turned to be even lower compared to the pessimistic forecast of the association, the report said.
