Kazakhstani coal supplies have been resume to Bishkek CHPP
Almaty. November 2. Silkroadnews – Kazakhstani coal supplies have been resume to Bishkek CHPP, Deputy Prime Minister Duishenbek Zilaliev said at the parliament session on Thursday, the Kyrgyz Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG) reported.
“Since yesterday, Kazakhstani coal deliveries resumed to the Bishkek central heating and power station,” the agency quoted deputy prime minister saying.
According to him, 6 coal wagons arrived in Bishkek from Kazakhstan, today, on Thursday morning, another 9 wagons arrived. In November, as expected, Kazakhstan will deliver to Kyrgyzstan another 100,000 tonnes of coal.
“As of November 1, there are 257 thousand tonnes of coal at the Bishkek central heating and power station; it is enough to operate for 2 months. We also have some reserves of fuel oil - 4 thousand 800 tonnes. More than 500 thousand tonnes of coal could be delivered from the Kavak coal basin,” he added.
To ensure the budget enterprises’ operation there are 146 thousand tonnes of coal, or 103% of the plan set; 638 thousand tonnes of coal reserved to meet the population’s demand, which is 121% versus the plan set.
As of November 1, in the northern region, coal price is 2,500-5500 som per tonne, in the south - 2,600-6,500 som per tonne. To prevent a sharp rise in coal prices, the government adopted a special decree on coal.
To remind, earlier the government reported on suspension of coal deliveries from Kazakhstan.
