Kazakhstani investments in the Kyrgyz economy decreased by 15.8% last year

Almaty. April 5. Silkroadnews - For the last year the direct investments to Kyrgyzstan from Russia increased by 2 times, while from Kazakhstan fell by 15%, KyrTAG reports.

“The volume of foreign direct investments from the CIS countries in 2015 increased two times in comparison with 2014, investments from Russia grew 2 times, from Belarus - 449.5 times as much, and from Kazakhstan the investment inflow, on the contrary, decreased by 15.8%,” the press service of the Kyrgyz government reported on Tuesday.

In 2015, foreign direct investment (FDI) income from countries located outside the CIS decreased by 0.3% compared to 2014; the inflow of investment from China decreased by 51%, from Canada – by 29%, and from the United Kingdom and Turkey FDI has increased several times.
In general, in 2015 FDI inflow into the country increased by 12.6% versus 2014 and totaled $818.8 million.
