Kazakhstani providers agreed to reduce prices for Internet services in Kyrgyzstan
Almaty. October 6. Silkroadnews – Kazakhstani providers will reduce prices for Internet services in Kyrgyzstan, KyrTAG reports.
«A meeting of representatives of companies, competent authorities, communication committees and antimonopoly authorities of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan was held in Almaty yesterday. Following the talks, the Internet services prices has been retained at the June level, that is there is no increase in prices. We have also discussed the prospects for further prices cutting, not raising, and decided to work further in this direction», director of the state agency of anti-monopoly regulation Bolsunbek Kazakov said at the press conference on Thursday.
B. Kazakov assured the prices for Internet in Kyrgyzstan will be stable.
«The speed of Internet will also return to previous levels», he added.
To remind, on August 1 Kazakhstani partners notified most of Internet-providers of Kyrgyzstan on almost three times increase of tariffs.
At the end of 2015 there were 4.7 million active Internet-users in Kyrgyzstan, with Internet access provided to 79% of population.
