Kazakhstani students will offer Canadians ice cream from kumys

Almaty. May 12. Silkroadnews – Kazakhstani students of Pavlodar State University named after S. Toraigyrov will present an ice cream from kumys in Canada, KazTAG reports.

“The team of Pavlodar State University named after S. Toraigyrov became the winner of the national contest of students social and business projects Enactus Kazakhstan National EXPO 2016. They presented 4 successful projects and got 1 million tenge for the idea of ice cream from kumys, having won the contest,” the publication says.

Arnagul Burkut, Enactus PSU team leader, said “the team will defend the honor of Kazakhstan at the World Cup Enactus 2016 to be held in October in Toronto, Canada.”

She added, among the ideas their team worked over there are a social project “Overcoming” aimed to support business initiatives with disabled people involvement and social adaptation of disabled children, processing of waste glass, organization of catering and farm products delivery, as well as the “Start up Academy”, a part of which is a project for production of ice cream from kumys and pate from Jerusalem potato for diabetics.
42 university teams took part in the national contest of Enactus.
