Almaty. October 9. Silkroadnews - Korea and Kyrgyzstan agreed to establish the production and processing of licorice in Issyk-Kul region, informs KyrTAG.
"On October 8, was held a ceremony of signing the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of Kyrgyzstan and the city of Yong Chung, province of Kyon San Buk Do of the Republic of Korea on cooperation in the fields of agriculture and animal husbandry in the Issyk-Kul region", - said in the message of the government press service on Thursday.
The memorandum is supposed to implement projects in the field of economy, culture, tourism, education, exchange of human resources. The main priorities of mutually beneficial cooperation - production, processing of medicinal herbs and licorice.
First Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Tayirbek Sarpashev expressed confidence that the memorandum will be a real incentive for the Korean businessmen investing in the country's agriculture.
He invited the Korean side to invest in the construction of logistics centers and large vegetable stores.
Kim Yong Sok said that Korean businessmen are interested in investing in the Kyrgyz economy.
