Kyrgyz government offers to replace meat in the diet by beans

Almaty. October 1. Silkroadnews - Prime Minister of KR Temir Sariev and Minister of Health Talantbek Batyraliev believe that the Kyrgyzs need to change the culture of food. This was told at the presentation of the program to ensure food security and nutrition on Thursday, reports KyrTAG.
"We have very good beans, for protein it is comparable to meat. However, almost no one eats beans in Kyrgyzstan", - complained T.Batyraliev.
"We must change the culture of food. For example, we can fully povide ourselves by potatoes, milk, fruits and vegetables, but we don't consume them.  Almost every household has a cow's milk but it is apparently sold. It is necessary to advertise the products especially those that can replace meat", - said  Minister T. Sariev.
"It is encouraging that there are fish farms, and increasing consumption of fish", - said the head of government.
