Kyrgyz insurance policy for the car will not be valid on the territory of the EAEC

Almaty. January 26. Silkroadnews - The Kyrgyz compulsory third party car insurance will not be valid on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC), KyrTAG informs.
“So far compulsory third party car insurance will not be valid in other EAEC countries, yet it is quite possible in the long term. In the meantime, when entering other partner countries Kyrgyz citizens will need to insure car again, additional to the liability insurance policy purchased in Kyrgyzstan,” the chairman of the State Service of supervision and regulation of financial market Sanjar Mukanbetov said.
According to him, at present the policy will only be valid on the territory of the republic.
As he said, now the country passes through the period of harmonization of the legislation, and later the policies will be mutually recognized by all the EAEC countries.
The law on compulsory insurance of motor third party liability (MTPL) comes into force starting as of February 7, 2016, yet the fines on the lack of the policy will be applied as of January 1, 2018.
