Kyrgyz oil refineries capacity exceeds 2.1 million tons of oil per year

Almaty. February 12. Silkroadnews – According to the President of the Association of Oil Traders of Kyrgyzstan Medetbek Kerimkulov, the domestic oil refineries’ capacity makes 2.1 million tons of oil per year, KyrTAG reports.
“For the recent years the domestic oil refineries capacity grew twice and at present makes more than 2110 million tons of oil per year. In case of a full load of process utilization the production volumes achieved will fully meet the domestic needs of the country,” - said M. Kerimkulov.
In January 2016 the republic imported 76.4 thousand tons of oil products, including 34.9 thousand tons of gasoline and 41.5 thousand tons of diesel fuel.
