Bishkek. April 22. Silkroadnews – Kyrgyz MP Myktybek Abyldayev thinks escorting vehicle service for the PM And the Parliament speaker should be abolished. He expressed this thought at the working session of the committee on law, order and anti-crime activities.
He says policemen are blocking the roads and the traffic is stopped just so state officials can pass the area on their way to work.
“I don’t understand who needs our PM? Why does his movement fr om one place to another need to cause inconvenience for our citizens? Moreover, escort vehicles are reaching the maximum speed of 130-140 km per hour, when the speed lim it in urban areas is 20 km per hour”, the MP complained.
The MP thinks that only President needs escorting vehicles. Any other officials should commute the same way all the other citizens do.
Another MP Kenzhebek Bokoyev supported this idea.
“Back when Omurbek Babanov used to serve as a PM and  Ahmatbek Keldibekov used to be a Speaker, they both refused to use escort vehicle service. Nothing has happened to them, no one tried to assassinate them, they are both alive and healthy to these days”, he said in support of his colleague.
