Kyrgyz President signed law on protection of e-mail and phone data privacy

Bishkek. March 17. SilkRoadnews – Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev signed the law that amends and adds to the Civil Code of the country, as his Press Office reports.
Law “On Amendments and Additions to Civil Code of Republic of Kyrgyzstan” was signed on the 14th of March, 2014.
The amendment to the Article 20 of the Civil Code states that beside the right to privacy in one’s private life, people are equally entitled to the protection of privacy of one’s postal, telegraph, electronic, telephone and any other kind of communication.
