Kyrgyz students could not leave for China due to a temporary suspension of the embassy services after the terrorist attack

Almaty. September 9. Silkroadnews – The Chinese Embassy in Bishkek attacked by the suicide bomber on August 30 has not yet resumed its work, KyrTAG reports.

As the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs, the embassy has not yet resumed its operation in full. Therefore, the Kyrgyz students studying in China's universities have not been able to go to the places of study.

«Due to temporary suspension of the services by the consular department of the Chinese Embassy in Bishkek, the Foreign Ministry has asked those Kyrgyz citizens traveling for study in Chinese universities, who could not arrange their Chinese educational visas, to submit the due information to the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs», the press service of the Foreign ministry informed.

The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry is going to send to the Chinese universities «the notices of the situation emerged» and request to assist students who miss their classes through no fault of their own. The press-service of the Ministry also promised to «further inform» the republic's citizens on the resumption of consular department's services of the Chinese Embassy.

To remind, on August 30 a car driven by a suicide bomber explodes after ramming the gates of the Chinese embassy in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek. The bomber died. Two embassy employees were injured. A criminal case has been opened under article «terrorism».

Later, the organizers and executors of terrorist acts were identified. Five people have been arrested and taken in the pretrial custody under the State Committee for National Security, another four suspects have been put on the wanted list.
