Kyrgyz truckers are facing difficulties in exporting agricultural products to Russia through Kazakhstan
Almaty. February 5. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyz truckers are facing difficulties in exporting agricultural products to Russia through Kazakhstan, reports KyrTAG.
"Kazakhstani find fault with our drivers of heavy vehicles, so that we could not create competition. When the goods are exported from Kyrgyzstan they pass customs clearance at the borders with Kazakhstan, they are oftenly fined. Kazakhstani put obstacles, we have to pay bribes", - said chairman of the association of freight operators of KR Temirbek Shabdanaliev on Thursday.
According to him, Kazakhstani believe that only their trucks must carry the cargos to Russia, and therefore create all sorts of barriers for Kyrgyz truckers.
"Another caveat - they cause to issue final destination not Russia, but one of the border kazakh city with Russia. This is done to leave the custom duty inside Kazakhstan. This obviously does not match with the terms of the Eurasian Economic Union. As a result, there are problems with entry to Russia", - added T.Shabdanaliev.
