Kyrgyzstan and China set key areas for cooperation

Almaty. January 11. Silkroadnews - The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Dinara Kemelova held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic Xiao Qinghua, the Kyrgyz Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG) reported with reference to the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry on Thursday.
The parties summed up the results of cooperation for 2017, reviewed the major activities and events two nations undertook last year, such as the election of the president in Kyrgyzstan and the 19 National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the report said.
The parties have also identified the priority areas to cooperate for 2018, discussed promising aspects of bilateral cooperation, in particular, implementation of projects within the framework of China’s One Belt, One Road initiative, construction of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, recovery of ring road around Lake Issyk-Kul and others.
