Kyrgyzstan and China will exchange information on the situation in the border areas

Almaty. March 20. Silkroadnews - Kashgar Xinjiang hosted a meeting of heads of border controls of Osh, Naryn and Issyk-Kul region with the heads of border troops of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of China stationed at the Kyrgyz-Chinese state border, reported KyrTAG.
"The parties agreed on the need to intensify the exchange of information on the situation in the border areas of Kyrgyzstan and China, and proposed to continue the practice of joint border patrols and continuous improvement of methods at the checkpoints", - says the publication.
The representatives of two states noted that in recent years has significantly increased the level of interaction between the State authorities of KR and MPS of China on border security.
They discussed the issues of improving joint efforts to counter terrorism, religious extremism, illegal crossing of the state border and citizens of other modern threats and challenges.
The event was also attended by the heads of the checkpoints along the border of Kyrgyzstan and China.
