Kyrgyzstan estimated the damage caused by Boeing jet crash near Bishkek at $2.8 million

Almaty. February 21. Silkroadnews – Damage caused by Boeing cargo jet crash near Bishkek was estimated at around 195 million som ($2.8 million), KyrTAG reports.

“From the first days of the tragedy we negotiated with the Turkish side on the damages. We estimate the amount of material damage at 195 million som. From the very beginning the Turkish side was ready to provide the necessary assistance and study our letter. They are also ready to defray expenses related to teaching of two children left without parental care in case the immediate family members approve such help”, First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Muhammetkaly Abulgazi said during his visit to the Dachi-Su village affected by the jet crash.

He noted, the government of the Kyrgyz Republic sent to the Turkish side an official letter specifying the amount to compensate for material damage caused to Kyrgyzstan, in particular, to families of the crash victims.

M. Abulgazi also added that the government is addressing the issue to provide the affected victims with housing.
According to him, currently a special account of the republic’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, opened to raise funds to help the victims, have gathered more than 91 million som. This special account still remains open, as citizens of the country continue to transfer money to help the people suffered.

Meanwhile, citizens have asked the government commission to organize a mobile clinic to operate in the village for a while to provide the medical care as required.

M. Abulgazi assigned the Minister of Health Talantbek Batyraliev to solve this issue. .

To remind, on January 16, at 7:00 a.m. in Sokuluk district of Chui region of Kyrgyzstan, not far from the airport “Manas” cargo plane crashed destroying the housing buildings and killing 39 people, including four crew members. 15 people were injured, about a hundred people left homeless.
