Kyrgyzstan from October 1, will stop import of electricity from Tajikistan

Bishkek. September 18. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyzstan from October 1 will stop the import of electricity from neighboring Tajikistan, reports KyrTAG with reference to the Prime Minister's Office Joomart Otorbaev on Thursday.
Prime Minister reiterated that the shortage of water in the Toktogul reservoir exceeded 3 billion cubic meters respectively, the shortage of electricity was 2.3 billion kWh and Kyrgyzstan bought missing part in a volume of 200 million kWh from Tajikistan on the price of 2 cents per 1 kWh.
Currently, the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic is in talks with Kazakhstan on electricity imports of 500 million kWh.
