Kyrgyzstan has banned the export of hay to Tajikistan

Almaty. August 12. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyzstan has banned the export of hay to Tajikistan,  reports KyrTAG.
"This year's forage crops sown on 65 thousand hectares more compared to last year, this gives an additional 170 thousand tons of hay", - said the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Taalaibek Aidaraliev onTuesday.
Meanwhile, T. Aidaraliev confirmed that prices have risen to 270 soms per bale.  
"Businessmen are buying hay bale for 200 soms and resell it to Tajikistan for 300 soms, where the situation is more difficult. It was therefore decided to close the border for export hay to Tajikistan», - said the Minister.
The head of the department emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is sufficiently provided by fodder.
