Kyrgyzstan has created the Office for the Protection of Witnesses

The Interior Ministry, in accordance with the plans of the state program of measures to ensure the safety of witnesses, victims and other participants in criminal proceedings in the 2014-2016., Approved by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as in accordance with the requirements of the law "On protection of witnesses, victims and other participants in criminal proceedings" , formed a specialized operational unit to ensure the safety of persons subject to state protection "Office for the Protection of witnesses".
As noted, this unit is formed by taking into account the specifics of the work and experience of developed countries. Management is an independent operational unit in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It is charged with the task of ensuring security of persons involved in criminal proceedings in respect of which the law established order decided on the implementation of state protection.
In accordance with the above law, the decision on the implementation of state protection take the judge, prosecutor, investigator and chief of the inquiry body in charge of the criminal case. In the event of a real threat, be ordered on the implementation of state protection and sent for execution in the Office for the Protection of witnesses, where safety measures are taken, as well as work to identify and eliminate the threat posed.
