Kyrgyzstan has introduced criminal liability for participating in armed conflicts abroad

Almaty. July 27. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev signed a law "On amendments and additions to the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic", reported the Kyrgyz Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG).
The purpose of the adopted law is to ensure public safety. To this end, the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic amended, according to which improved the provisions of Articles 226-2 and 375, providing liability for involvement in crimes of terrorist/extremist characters, as well as mercenaries.
A new Article 226-4 criminalizes Kyrgyz citizen for participation in armed conflicts or military actions on the territory of a foreign state or the passage to terrorist and extremist training.
