Kyrgyzstan has saved more than $400 million on the duty-free supplies of petroleum products from Russia
Almaty. February11. Silkroadnews - On the duty-free supply of oil products from Russia Kyrgyzstan has saved more than $400 million, the president of the Association of Oil Traders of Kyrgyzstan Meditbek Kerimkulov said, as KyrTAG reported.
“Due to the agreements achieved the delivery of Russian petroleum products to the country is carried out free of export duties. For the past year only Kyrgyzstan saved $78.5 million, in 2014 such saving made $322 million, making in total $400.5,” - said M.Kerimkulov.
He emphasized no other country provides such discount; all the other vendors sell oil at the global prices.
“For this reason the import of oil products from Kazakhstan is economically unreasonable. With export duties of $169 per ton, or 9 cents per liter the cost of importing petroleum products from Kazakhstan is much higher to compare with the fuel from Russia,” - said the president of the association.
